Dear Graduate,

Congratulations. You did it.

Whether you’re graduating from high school, college, trade school, grad school, or law school, you’ve reached a milestone worth pausing to honor. This isn’t just something you achieved. It’s something you became through.

Graduation is both exciting and a little scary. It marks endings, new beginnings, and a whole lot of unknowns.

Embrace the unknown. Lean into what is unfolding and buckle up for the ride ahead.

You’re probably receiving a lot of advice right now, so take what resonates and leave the rest. Before you step into this next chapter, here are a few travel tips to carry with you:

• Be brave. Be curious. Don’t worry about being cool.

• When things fall apart, and they will sometimes, pay attention to who you become in the rebuilding. That version of you matters more than any outcome.

• When in doubt, choose kindness, especially when it’s inconvenient. That’s when it counts.

• Invest in the relationships that matter. Pay attention to the people who feel like home.

• Seek out mentors, not influencers. Learn from people who live what they teach.

• Be less afraid of failure and more aware of regret.

• You won’t find your purpose all at once. You’ll build it, one decision at a time.

• Life is bigger than what fits on a screen. Step outside and experience it for yourself.

• Eyes up. Put your phone down long enough to really see and connect with the people around you. You never know who might be sitting right next to you.

At the end of your life, the things the world celebrates most won’t matter nearly as much as you think. People won’t remember your bank account or the size of your house. They will remember how you treated them, how you showed up, and how you handled the moments that mattered most.

So go be great.
Go be you.
Go build a life that feels like yours.

Not perfect. Not performative.
Just yours.

And don’t forget to call home.

Because there will always be someone who knows your voice without introduction, who holds your place without question, and who is quietly, steadily, always on your side.

And there will always be a place that is ready to welcome you back.

💛💛💛
